Sunday I was a great spouse to my wife.

I spent nearly the entire day going through a checklist.

The checklist is called, “What would make Miriam’s life easier today?”

I glanced at the checklist and got to work.

On the checklist:

  • Clean multiple bathrooms.

  • Vacuum and tidy up multiple rooms.

  • Cooking multiple meals for the week (grab and go ready).

That list looks short.

But it was hours of work.

My wife is in an especially busy season of work. So my goal was simple — remove anything that my add stress to her life.

Here’s the thing …

She'd made a comment a few days earlier about having a big week coming up. She didn't make a request at the time. Just thinking out loud.

But I read between the lines and stepped up.

And that's exactly the problem with how most school leaders delegate.

They communicate like my wife did — passive, indirect, hoping others will "pick up what they're putting down."

Then they wonder why nothing gets done right.

Or why they're redoing work.

Or why they're still the bottleneck for everything in the building.

But check this out: Delegation without clarity is just wishful thinking.

When you say "Handle the discipline data" or "Take care of parent communication" without defining what success looks like, you're setting your team up to fail.

And you're setting yourself up to stay stuck.

Because vague delegation creates:

  • Confusion about priorities.

  • Missed deadlines.

  • Work that comes back half-done.

  • You staying late (again) to fix it all.

Sound familiar?

Most principals I work with are drowning because they can't (or won't) delegate clearly.

They're scared to be too specific. Worried they'll micromanage. Afraid they'll offend someone.

So instead they hint. They suggest. They "mention it in passing."

And then they redo the work themselves at 9 PM.

But the best school leaders know this to be true:

Crystal-clear delegation isn't micromanagement.

It's respect.

It's setting your team up to win.

And it's the only way to multiply your impact without burning out.

That's where the Delegation Masterclass comes in.

In this 9-minute training, you'll discover:

  • The 5 levels of delegation — so you know exactly when to hand off completely vs. when to stay involved (most principals get this wrong and wonder why they're still doing everything).

  • How to guarantee results before the work even starts — using a simple framework that eliminates confusion and ensures everyone knows what "done" looks like.

  • The hidden roadblocks that sabotage even good delegation attempts — and the exact language to avoid them.

This is the same system my clients have used to go from working 60+ hour work weeks to leading a thriving school with time to actually be present for my family.

So if you're tired of being the bottleneck in your building while your to-do list grows faster than you can work, then grab the Delegation Masterclass today.

Nine minutes.

One framework.

The difference between spinning your wheels and finally having a team that executes without you having to redo everything.
