Right now, there is a principal somewhere posting a picture on social media.

It’s a photo of a bag of Hot Cheetos and a Monster energy drink sitting on a messy desk.

The caption usually says something like #PrincipalLife or #NoDaysOff.

They think they’re showing the world their dedication.

They think they’re proving how indispensable they are because they’re "too busy" to eat a real meal.

But here is the inconvenient truth:

They aren't showing dedication.

They are revealing that they have poor boundaries, no self-worth, and no strategy.

As my friend Jethro Jones says, "Busyness is the choice of a hopeless mind."

When you wear exhaustion as a badge of honor, you are playing a game you cannot win.

You can work yourself into the ground. You can treat every minor decision like it’s heart surgery. You can run through the hallways putting out every single fire.

And in 50 years?

Nobody is going to remember your name.

The district will replace you before your coffee gets cold.

This is a heavy slice of humble pie, I know.

But we need to talk about it.

That’s why Jethro Jones returned to the show for our "Reject the Premise" series.

We dismantle the sacred promises that keep school leaders trapped in cycles of martyrdom.

We talk about why you need to rip that "S" off your chest …

… Because if you are too important for lunch, you’ve already lost.

If you’re ready to stop stressing and start leading, then listen to the full conversation.

Remember, "When you get better... Everyone wins!".

Keep Making a Ruckus,

Danny
