DO SCHOOL DIFFERENT

8 Benefits of Attending the Summer Impact Intensive

The best event I ever attended was an 3.5-day experience for entrepreneurs hosted by my coach Ron.

Medellin, Colombia was the location. That didn’t hurt. In fact, that was a big draw for it. Because to unlock breakthrough thinking, location matters. It needs to be somewhere cool. Somewhere fun. Somewhere different.

2 days of intense business development. And then we hiked into the Colombian rainforest to white water raft and sleep under the stars.

So yes, the location was magic. But so was the actual learning experience. The adventure didn’t hurt either.

I’ll never forget it.

And whenever I come across something that makes me think in a new way — I reflect on WHY it worked, and HOW I can use it with school leaders.

I did just that 4 years ago when I launched my live events for Ruckus Makers.

They are different than any event you’ll find in education.

Our events are not for everyone. In fact, they are not for most school leaders. Especially, Play-It-Safe-Principals. But since you read this newsletter, I suspect our events are for a leader like you.

So when you come to Sacramento, you can expect:

I'll rewrite those bold headings to emphasize benefits rather than features:

The Ruckus Maker Summit: Designed for True Transformation

Build your network of visionary allies: Limited to just 40 leaders who understand what it means to disrupt education—people who "get" your vision and can help make it happen.

Experience clarity without overwhelm: 8 high-impact talks + 4 implementation workshops. Absorb and apply each concept without the mental fatigue of traditional conferences.

Unlock your most creative thinking: A beautiful setting creates the space needed to reimagine what's possible. Sterile conference centers can't inspire like this.

Solve your specific leadership challenges: Get targeted 1:1 coaching AND collaborative mastermind sessions. Workshop your unique situation with fellow innovators—personalized support at every level.

Leave with your roadmap already built: Walk away with inspiration and the exact templates, frameworks, and tools. Create change on your campus.

Find your tribe of education disruptors: Surround yourself with other Ruckus Makers who respond to your bold ideas with "Let's figure out how to make this happen!" instead of "That will never work."

OPTIONAL: Recharge your leadership batteries: Join our white water rafting adventure or design your own Sacramento experience during the day. Celebrate our collective breakthroughs at our special dinner.

OPTIONAL: Transform your leadership in one day: Experience the VIP Day that previous leaders called "the most pivotal day of their leadership journey"— a $20K value condensed into one intensive day of personalized strategy.

Limited to 40 leaders. 37 tickets remain. Best price before April 20th.

TIP OF THE WEEK

One Choice you Can Make Today to Improve Your Leadership

Last week I mentioned how a senior in high school now runs a $20M+ a year business. He’s 18. That’s impressive.

And he mentioned a book that helps him run his company.

I have an ego, but I also am always looking for a leadership edge. You probably are the same way.

So when he mentioned the book, The CEO Within, I bought and started to devour it.

I don’t recommend that you read the book (unless you’re into tech startups) …

But it had one MAJOR idea that is relevant to your position.

Something often ignored by school leaders.

Your Health.

If you can’t afford a trainer, get the company to pay for it. Your investors won’t mind; your physical health is paramount.

Alex MacCaw

Now I don’t think school districts are going to start paying for your gym membership. They should, but that’s not happening anytime soon.

Don’t get stuck on that. What’s fair. Unfair.

The point is this: High performers prioritize their health. It is fundamental.

Go ahead and point your finger at the school district. Also realize that their are four fingers pointing back at you. It’s called “self-care” and not “district-care” for a reason.

What’s the one single change that you made that changed your health for the better?

The top changes upvoted by others were simple to put in place:

  1. Invest in a workout routine

  2. Quit alcohol

  3. Walk (10K steps)

  4. Sleep and wake up at the same time each day

  5. Replace Pop (Soda!) with water

  6. Cut back on screen time

Most of these are doable on your own. Some might need some group support. All would benefit from a system (e.g. I don’t keep soda in the house).

I’ve implemented most of these myself in the last few years and feel great. I want to address screen time this year. Not sure that I will quit alcohol.

So which from this list would you like to implement in the next 90-days. Hit “reply” and let me know. What change did I miss? Add your top choice to this Facebook post.

Your Health is the First Step of Your Leadership Optimization

Your health is one aspect of the complete leadership optimization system I've developed. It creates the foundation for your energy and focus. Your leadership approach needs a solid foundation too.

This summer in Sacramento, I’ll be teaching a tool called The Ruckus Maker Flywheel.

The first step of the flywheel is the Lead Domino Assessment. It helps align your personal priorities and your professional goals. This alignment creates a powerful multiplier effect where improvements in one area of your life fuel success in others.

It's more effective when your personal wellness and professional vision work together. Instead of competing for limited time and energy. This revelation is shocking.

And the Lead Domino Assessment is just one of five transformative steps within the Ruckus Maker Flywheel protocol.

Ready to align your personal health goals with your professional leadership vision?

Join us this summer in Sacramento. Return to school with your complete leadership optimization system already in place.

37 tickets remain. Best value before April 20th.

CLASS DISMISSED

I know it feels like there’s no time to prioritize yourself

But you’re worth it. And when things feel overwhelming, it feels easier to do nothing. Problem is that leads nowhere.

So review the six ways you can improve your health (and performance) from this newsletter. Hit “reply” and let me know which you are going to focus on.

If I can help, give me a shout.

Keep Making a Ruckus,

Danny

PS … we can really make some progress on your personal and professional life in Sacramento. I promise it will be a game changer for you.
