If not in 2025, then when?

Quick question: If you don't start transforming your campus now, then when do you plan to start?

One of the most common excuses I hear from principals who WANT to Do School Different is "I don't have the time."

But here's a brutal truth:

Everyone is busy. No one has time.

Back when I started reimagining education, I was drowning just like you are now — managing a full campus, dealing with challenging parents, responding to district demands (and a wacko supervisor), putting out daily fires, and trying to honor my work-life balance boundaries.

Which is why I like to say…

For the things you care about, you don't find the time.

You MAKE the time.

If you've been wanting to create a meaningful campus experience that students and staff love, then "I don't have the time" can't be an excuse.

It's easy to fall into the trap of "once XYZ happens... then I'll start."

• "Once testing season is over..."

• "Once we get through this semester..."

• "Once I hire more staff..."

• "Once things calm down..."

• "Once I figure it out myself..."

But the truth is, these "onces" never go away. It will never be the "perfect time" to start transforming your school. And if you sit around waiting for it, you'll look back years later with regret.

Proctastination is a LOSER strategy.
