A tale of 2 principals...
Which one are you?

Hey Ruckus Maker,
Are you still looking to transform your campus and create a legendary school experience that students and staff will never forget?
But if you're still unsure, I want to tell you a story.
Because I think it will help put things in perspective for you.
The Tale of 2 Principals
Once upon a time, there were 2 principals...
One was a Play-It-Safe Principal (who we'll call Patty) And the other was a Ruckus Maker (who we'll call Rachel)
Patty was a troubled soul. Had a lot of, how do you say... inner obstacles.
Patty thought leadership development wasn't worth the investment
Patty thought Playing It Safe was the best way forward
Patty thought maintaining the status quo was good enough
And as a result, Patty spent a lot of time alone. In the office. Putting out fires and drowning in emails.
Not realizing, the entire time, all the answers they were looking for were already out there.
All they had to do was ask.
Rachel, on the other hand ... quite the opposite character!
Rachel was full of optimism. Full of wonder and curiosity and excitement for the future of education.
Rachel thought, "Why struggle alone when there's a community of innovative leaders out there?"
Rachel thought, "If other principals are creating amazing campus experiences... why can't I!"
Rachel thought, "The best investment I could ever make is in becoming a better leader for my students and staff."
Patty doubted themselves, Rachel trusted themselves.
Patty felt scarcity, Rachel experienced abundance.
Where Patty hesitated, Rachel acted.
And do you want to take a guess as to which principal created lasting change, faster?
We don't need to ... you already know.
Now, there's a reason I'm telling you this fable-like story.
Well, because it's not a fable.
This is actually my story—and it's true.
For a LONG time, I was Patty. Doubting myself. Afraid to Do School Different. Afraid to invest in my own leadership development.
And the way I rationalized it was by telling myself:
"I’ve got my admin credential. I’m smart and can figure this out on my own. I don't need to ask anyone for help."
And as a result, I took the long road.
I wasted a LOT of time and energy.
And I watched a LOT of other principals transform their schools much faster than me—all because they acted more like Rachel.
They made decisions out of abundance.
They invested in themselves.
And maybe most importantly: they trusted themselves enough to lean into their potential.
Now, I'm happy to say, I've learned from my mistake.
And now, in every decision I make, I try to act more like Rachel.
Trusting myself. Believing in my vision. And learning from those who have already created the kind of campus experience I want to build.
Want proof?
I invested over $50,000 in my own leadership development last year alone.
And that investment has helped me support thousands of Ruckus Makers to transform their schools, write multiple bestselling books, and build the most downloaded podcast in school leadership (and one of the most downloaded shows in the world).
So, I hope you're ready to lean into your potential …
Whether it's with me inside the 90-Day Accelerator, or with someone else on a different path you might feel is better suited for you and your goals …
Regardless, I really hope you use this as an opportunity to make a little investment in yourself.
Be like Rachel.
Act out of abundance.
And trust that a small investment in yourself can have the potential to generate huge returns—if you take the time to put your learnings into practice.
If I could go back in time, this is the ONE thing I would have done differently.
I would have started sooner.
I would have acted more like Rachel, and less like Patty.
And I would have trusted myself more to make small investments that had the potential to transform not just my leadership, but the lives of countless students and staff.
This program is open for just 3 more days (and won’t open again in 2025).

Keep Making a Ruckus,
Danny
PS… Don't just take my word for it. Here's what John Unger from West Fork Middle School said about investing in his leadership development: "It's 20 hours of work—but are you willing to give up 20 hours for a successful year?" The ROI speaks for itself. Join the 90-Day Accelerator today!
